It started back in the winter of 2015 as just an idea. What if we developed a web platform for pregnancy care organizations that was designed to meet the millennial eye, had robust tools for personalized customization, was equipped for automated communication and online donations, and was easy for anyone to use? And what if we could offer it at a fraction of what it would cost to build?
That’s where the Oasis Web Platform began.
For nonprofits, arguably the most important piece of marketing they will invest in is their website. And not just an average website, but something that stands out and connects with its intended audience. A site that is equipped to propel the mission of that organization forward.
But for many nonprofits, devoting $10k, $25k, or $100k to a site that would accomplish this for them is simply not feasible. Not to mention additional costs for the many essential features like online giving, running reports, donor communication, a private login section for financial supporters, online appointment requests, and so much more that nonprofits often need.
That’s when the idea of Oasis began to form. What if we spent the $100k needed to build such a site, but instead of selling for $25k to just a few select organizations, we could offer it at just a small fraction of that? Then we’d be able to open a very limited opportunity to hundreds of nonprofits that wished to have access to such a site, but could not financially afford it.
The idea was simple – we pay for the cost up front and then share the cost among hundreds of organizations. By doing this, it would allow small nonprofits with budgets less than $250k a year to have a website, with a donor login section, and robust special features, for a price they could afford.
Started by a group of friends, Oasis became publically available in July of 2017. Since that time, we have had the privilege of working with nonprofits all across America—providing them with a web platform that enables them to further their mission.
We’re proud of the product we’ve developed and continue to develop. We believe that this is just the beginning and we're excited to partner with many of America’s smaller nonprofits doing some of the most vital work in our nation.
